Version 2.5.6 is the sixth update release in the Spring 2.5 series. It contains many bug fixes, along with upgrades and minor enhancements throughout the framework. Included are:

Upgrades to: AspectJ 1.6.2, EHCache 1.5.0, TestNG 5.8, OpenJPA 1.1.0, and EclipseLink 1.0.1.
Outdated EAR support from sample applications has been removed.
In the org.springframework.jdbc package, SQLErrorCodeSQLExceptionTranslator now applies default SQLExceptionSubclassTranslator after error code translation only. Additionally, SQLErrorCodeSQLExceptionTranslator is now able to work without fallback SQLState translation.
In the org.springframework.jmx package, refreshOnConnectFailure property has been added to MBeanClientInterceptor, allowing for reconnect in case of input/output failure.
The org.springframework.web package now properly logs compilation errors before an eventual fatal exception during XSLT processing.
