Version 8.3.8 is a minor release with many bug fixes. Among other things, you’ll find:

A security repair now disallows RESET ROLE and RESET SESSION AUTHORIZATION inside security-definer functions.
A security fix now prohibits empty passwords from being used during LDAP authentication.
A security fix now blocks the LOAD of an already-loaded loadable module.
The Windows shared-memory allocation code has been fixed.
Memory leaks in XML operations have been fixed.
pg_dump’s efficiency has been upgraded.

A dump/restore is not required for those running 8.3.X. If you have any hash indexes on interval columns, you must REINDEX them after upgrading to 8.3.8.
