Version 8.3.4 contains a number of bug fixes. Among them, you'll find:

  • A fix applied so that  foreign key checking queries will be regenerated from scratch when either table is modified.
  • Incorrect HOT updates after the reindexing of pg_class have been fixed. Prior to this fix, corruption of pg_class could occur if REINDEX TABLE pg_class was followed in the same session by an ALTER TABLE RENAME or ALTER TABLE SET SCHEMA command.
  • Several memory leaks in XML (Extensible Markup Language) operations have been repaired.
