Net-SNMP is a suite of applications used to implement SNMP v1, SNMP v2c and SNMP v3 using both IPv4 and IPv6. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a widely used protocol for monitoring the health and welfare of network equipment (eg. routers), computer equipment and even devices like UPSs.

The COPYING.txt file for this package includes multiple separate licenses for different parts of the code. Older versions of the packages may have fewer license notices, as overtime, additional licenses for newer contributors have been added. The current version 5.7.1 has 9 licenses that apply to various parts of the code.
