Please note that MySQL Cluster NDB 7.0.9 and 7.0.9a were pulled shortly after being released due to two critical bugs. Users seeking to upgrade from a previous MySQL Cluster NDB 7.0 release should instead use MySQL Cluster NDB 7.0.9b, which contains fixes for these critical bugs, in addition to all bug fixes and improvements made in MySQL Cluster NDB 7.0.9 and in mainline MySQL 5.1 through 5.1.39.
Some of the changes in Version 7.0.9 include:
- A fix to avoid aborted transactions and data node failures when performing very large inserts on NDB tables.
- A remedy for a crash occurring when starting a data node with a very large amount of DataMemory.
- A fix to configure's failure to honor the --with-zlib-dir option when building from source.
- Significant improvements in redo log handling and other filesystem operations that markedly reduce the time required for restarts.
