Mockito is an open sourced Test Double framework for Java, which can be used for Test Driven Development. As usual with Test Double frameworks, the indirect inputs are implemented with Test Stubs, but the indirect outputs are not implemented with Mock objects (as the name 'Mockito' indicates) bur rather as Test Spy objects, i.e. you do not predefine the expectations (as you do with mocks) but can still assert them after the tested method has been invoked.
