Version 2.2.0 includes several improvements and bug fixes. The major change in this release is the requirement of Java 1.5 or later. Other noteworthy changes include:

  • The ability to separate command-line-specific configurations into their own <execution>.
  • A fix that corrects the wrong execution order of plug-ins in the same phase.
  • A fix to a NullPointerException in DefaultLifecycleExecutor.
  • Resolutions to problems with password security.
  • Fixes to several regressions.
