Version 3.6.17 contains important security and stability fixes. The security fixes include:

A fix to prevent escalation of privilege through the Java Embedding Plugin.
Fixes to several dangling pointer vulnerabilities.
Corrections to memory safety hazards.
A patch to prevent information stealing through the form history.
A fix to avoid directory traversal in resource: protocol.
A plug to an XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) generate-id() function heap address leak.
