Open Source Multiple Licenses

<< Back to MySQL details

MySQL uses Multiple Licenses

There are three options when using MySQL: the GNU General Public License Version 2, the GPL with a Floss Exception, and a Commercial License. Developers who produce open source projects under the GNU General Public License may use MySQL under the terms of the GPL 2. Developers who produce open source projects under a different open source license may be eligible to use the GPL with a FLOSS exception for different open source licenses. Developers who do not wish to make their applications open source and wish to include MySQL as part of their product must use the Commercial License.
